Social media

Add your social media profile URLs and the theme automatically displays matching icons in your store’s footer — no extra setup beyond pasting the link.

Before you start

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Next to the theme you want to edit, click Customize.
  3. In the left-hand panel, click Theme settings, then select Social media.

Everything below applies inside this Social media panel.

Notes

  • A platform’s icon only appears once you’ve added a valid URL — leave the field blank to hide it from your storefront.
  • Make sure all links include https:// for proper functionality.
  • Social icons and placements may vary depending on the enabled theme sections.

Troubleshooting

Icon not appearing after adding a URL? Double-check the link includes https:// at the start — a URL missing this prefix won’t be recognized as valid.

Wrong icon showing? Confirm the URL matches the platform’s own domain exactly (e.g. a TikTok link pasted into the Instagram field won’t display correctly).
